Fear & Loathing is a solo role-playing game, a journaling game.

It draws inspiration from Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas by Hunter S. Thompson; The Angel of the Odd by Edgar Allan Poe; The Swimmer by John Cheever; and the works Pulp and The Fuck Machine by Charles Bukowski.

Imagine a character immersed in eight days of wild, hallucinatory celebration driven by excessive use of drugs and alcohol. Across this week of delirium, the character gradually unravels, descending toward an inevitable breakdown. Holding a recorder, they capture everything like a raw diary: fragmented thoughts, surreal experiences, memories, and spontaneous, often incoherent conversations. Their mind swings between episodes of madness and rare moments of clarity, locked in a constant struggle to keep control. It forms a vivid collage of sounds, disjointed voices, and fractured introspections as they wander in a trance, consumed by illusions.
